Passenger dies from injuries in Brentwood crash

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WKRN) – The passenger of a car involved in a crash Monday evening in Brentwood has died from their injuries.

Police said two cars crashed just before 5:30 p.m. in the intersection of Wilson Pike and Carondelet Place.

The crash remains under investigation, but authorities say a Toyota sedan was travelling south when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Carondelet.

The sedan was hit on the passenger side by a Ford truck travelling north on Wilson Pike.

According to police, the driver of the truck was not injured while the driver of the sedan suffered minor injuries.

The passenger in the Toyota, identified as 70-year-old John Holladay, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where they died.

Wilson Pike remained closed as of 7 p.m. Traffic was being detoured the neighborhood, and no major disruptions were reported.
