AMBER Alert cancelled after 4-year-old Memphis boy found safe

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 4-year-old boy was found safe early Sunday afternoon after an AMBER Alert was issued out of Memphis.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Zion Byrd “has been located and is safe” around 12 p.m.

Earlier in the day, authorities said Zion was taken by his non-custodial father, Dominque Nichols. It’s not yet known if Nichols was or will be charged in the case.

“Thanks for getting the word out about the AMBER Alert out of Memphis. Very thankful this was resolved and the child is safe,” the TBI said via Twitter.
