Gunshot fired into McDonald’s during robbery attempt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police are investigating an attempted robbery early Tuesday morning that ended with a bullet inside a fast food restaurant.

Officers were called to the McDonald’s on Eatons Creek Road near Joelton just after midnight.

Investigators told News 2 two men with long guns pulled up in a green SUV and demanded four employees who were outside on break let them in the restaurant.

Three of the four employees fled and the fourth was made to walk up to the drive through at gunpoint.

One of the gunmen, according to police, demanded that employees inside the business open the window. When they refused they suspect fired one shot into the window.

Both gunmen fled in the SUV empty handed.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the suspect who fired the shot is described as a white man with a thin build. At the time he wore a blue bandanna over his face. The second suspect is a black man with a medium build. He had a white bandanna covering his face at the time.
