Man dies after being shot in chest while driving down Antioch Pike

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man has died after he was shot in the chest while riding down Antioch Pike in South Nashville late Saturday night.

It happened where Antioch Pike splits into McCall Street around 11:30 p.m.

Metro police reported 24-year-old Jesus Flores was a passenger in a 2006 Nissan Maxima when shots were fired into the car from a passing pickup truck.

Flores was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

The driver of the Nissan told Metro police they were driving on Antioch Pike when a white pickup truck began firing into their car.

As the driver attempted to drive away, his car stalled and he ran off on foot but returned a short time later, according to police.

He told police he and Flores were returning to a party.

The gunman was described as a Hispanic man wearing a blue baseball cap with the letter LA.
