NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are investigating a shooting Monday at the McDonald’s near Sylvan Park.
Authorities were called to the restaurant on Charlotte Avenue across from Richland Park just after 4 p.m.
According to spokeswoman Kris Mumford, two men got into an argument inside the restaurant before the shooting took place outside.
The victim, who was shot in the chest, was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition. Police said the victim is a Hispanic make but his name has not been released.
Sgt. Ed Rucker told News 2 the suspect, only described as a black man, reportedly ran across the street toward the Richland Park library. Metro police are actively searching for the suspect through the Sylvan Park neighborhood.
Further details have yet to be released. The investigation is ongoing.
