NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 30-year-old man was seriously injured and another is in custody after a stabbing at a popular Nashville strip club early Sunday morning.
It happened at Deja Vu on Demonbreun Street in the Gulch around 5 a.m.
Metro police 30-year-old James McCloud and Jerald Sanford, 26, walked outside of the club and started arguing at the front entrance.
During the argument, Sanford allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed McCloud several times in the stomach.
McCloud was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he is recovering after undergoing surgery.
Sanford was pursued by officers until he abandoned his pickup truck near the intersection of Charles E. Davis Boulevard and Cannon Street.
He was quickly taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
Sanford was charged with attempted murder and evading arrest, and his bond was set at $275,000.
