2 shot at apartments near downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two people were injured Monday night in a shooting just south of downtown Nashville.

Metro police were called to the 900 block of First Avenue South at the Tony Sudekum Apartments public housing complex around 9:40 p.m.

According to police, one of the victims was shot in the buttocks and the other was shot in the hand.

Both were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A motive was not immediately known.
