Blackman students return to class after valve repaired in science lab

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – Students at Blackman High School returned to class early Wednesday afternoon after a brief evacuation.

Officials said a faulty valve in a science lab led to the school being evacuated but it has since been repaired.

James Evans with Rutherford County Schools said all students are safe and the evacuation was a precaution.

Parents were notified of the incident. Additional information was not released.
