I-65 S back open after disabled Macon County school bus moved

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A portion of Interstate 65 south at Briley Parkway was blocked by a disabled Macon County school bus Monday morning.

The disabled bus was first reported at 8 a.m. .

Crews are on scene and attempting to get the bus moved out of the center lane.

The bus transports one student from Macon County and another from Trousdale County daily to Genesis Learning Center, according to Tony Boles, Director of Schools for Macon County.

Two students, a bus monitor and the driver were on board with the bus broke down. No one was injured.

The area was cleared by 9 a.m.
