Suspect sought after man hit, killed while riding bike in Columbia

COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was hit and killed while riding his bike in Columbia Saturday night.

James Mealer, 55, was traveling south in the 200 block of Riverside Drive around 8 p.m. when he was struck from behind.

Medics treated him on the scene, but he ultimately died from his injuries.

Witnesses say the vehicle that hit Mealer was a large, dark colored truck. It may have also sustained damage to its front passenger side headlight.
