NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A group gathered outside the Tennessee State Capitol Sunday to protest Monday’s Electoral College vote.
The demonstrators were made up of several different groups who wanted to speak out.
News 2 spoke with a woman from Maryville about why she was protesting.
“We hope that our electors will take heed and pay attention to the fact that this is not business as usual. This has been an extremely difficult election,” explained Kathy Rudder.
Protesters plan to meet outside the capitol again Monday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. as 11 electors from Tennessee vote whether or not to make Donald Trump the 45th president of the United States.
