New crime museum, home to OJ’s Bronco, opens in Pigeon Forge

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Every year people from around the country make the trip to Gatlinburg and the surrounding communities to not only take in the scenery but also many of the attractions.

The devastating wildfires have left some people worried about the local economy that depends heavily on tourism, so many are hoping visitors still make the trip.

On Friday, Alcatraz East Crime Museum opened to the public. It’s located in Pigeon Forge and the staff says so far they are expecting a good turnout.

The museum boasts a two story 25,000 square foot building that is filled with historical artifacts.

Inside, you can find the infamous Ford Bronco OJ Simpson used to flee police as well as the car that belonged to John Dillenger, an American gangster in the Depression-era.

There’s also an interactive CSI lab with hands-on exhibits, FBI Agent Training in virtual shooting range, and much more.
