NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Former Nashville Mayor Karl Dean held a book signing event Thursday.
Dean was at the Nashville Farmers’ Market to promote his book titled “Nashville: The South’s NEW Metropolis.”
The book, which was co-authored by Michael Cass, takes a look at Nashville’s economic rise over the past two decades.
“Anybody who has lived here or anybody who comes here, you can feel the energy. Nashville has so much going for it in terms of its diverse economy, all the universities that are here, the great music industry, great partnership between the public and the private sectors, the city has been incredibly strong and I think it will continue to be strong. I like to say I think Nashville’s best days are still ahead of it,” said Dean.
The book also includes photos of the city’s iconic landmarks and historic roots.
