SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. (WKRN) – A Murfreesboro man is accused of killing another man and setting the victim’s Bedford County home on fire.
Jeremy Fleming was taken into custody in Sumter County, Florida, after he was reportedly involved in an accident last week.
After taking the 27-year-old in custody for driving on a suspended license, police learned he was wanted for homicide in Tennessee.
He’s accused in the death of Robert Perkins, who was killed inside his home on Dec. 2. The house was set on fire with his body inside.
Fleming was held at the Sumter County jail before being returned to Bedford County. He is charged with criminal homicide and is being held on a $1 million bond.
Two other people, Myron Fleming and Autumn Slade, have also been identified as additional persons of interest in the case. They have both also been arrested in Florida and are awaiting extradition.
