NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Mike Mularkey has rebuilt the Titans franchise in just one season as the head coach.

For a team that has won five games in two years, people had their doubts when he was hired.

Now, Mularkey has the Titans tied for first in the AFC South with a 7-6 record, and the coach is enjoying the ride just as much as the players.

“I’m enjoying this experience with these guys. I’m very proud of them with the way they have worked,” he said. “Going back to April, the mindset has been all work, and we like to have fun doing it and it hasn’t changed, and they’re starting to understand, I think they understand what we want, but I think they’re also seeing that its coming to light that if we play this style of football, we can be in the mix, and we are right in the mix of it and I’m just proud to be a part of it.”

Hear from Mike Mularkey Monday night on Titans on 2 at 6:30 p.m. with defensive lineman Karl Klug as a guest.
