NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Hundreds of kids were given new shoes on Friday at the 27th annual “Cold Feet, Warm Shoes” campaign held by Genesco.
Some Tennessee Titans players also helped out at Park Avenue Elementary School, helping give 500 students new shoes and a warm hat.
“The kids seem like they’re having an amazing time, and all the people that have placed their time to invest in these kids,” Johnson told News 2.
“It’s all about them, man, so that’s what makes it so important. And these kids look up to us as role models, so it’s the opportunity to give back, to give love to others, and that’s what this whole season is about,” Johnson added.
Since 1989, Genesco’s event has given more than 60,000 pairs of shows away, and Rashad Johnson was happy to be on hand.
