MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — The burn ban for the city of Murfreesboro have been lifted as of Friday.

“We received significant rainfall; therefore conditions are safe again for outdoor burning,” said Fire Marshal Carl Peas.

Residents must obtain permission daily from Fire Administration in order to burn.

“You must call 615-893-1422 between 8 and 10 a.m. and be prepared to give your name, location, and a phone number before receiving permission to burn,” said Peas.

If you need to burn on the weekend, you must contact MFRD Headquarters at 615-849-2661 and speak to a captain.
