NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was arrested early Wednesday morning after she was driving the wrong way on Interstate 40.

According to Metro Nashville Police, several people called 911 around 2 a.m. and reported a driver heading west in the eastbound lanes around White Bridge Pike.

Police shut down the interstate at McCrory Lane in Bellevue, about 10 miles away from where she was first reported, and laid down a spike strip.

The woman, now identified as Faren Healey, hit the spike strip and finally stopped.

Metro Nashville Police took the driver into custody and she was given a field sobriety test.

According to an affidavit, Healey told police she did not remember getting to her car or where she had come from. She also said she drank several beers while bar hopping after the Predators game Tuesday night.

The affidavit said Healey repeatedly told officers, “I’m drunk. Take me to jail.”
