MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Rutherford County community is helping those impacted by last week’s wildfire in Sevier County, Tennessee.
Franklin Road Baptist Church and a local trucking company are partnering to collect non-perishable items, children’s clothing, toys and food.
Collectors told News 2 the biggest need is Chapstick for firefighters, baby food and socks. The church said it has already received a lot of food, but hopes to get more clothing for both children and adults.
Donations can be dropped off at Franklin Road Baptist Church from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday.
The church is located at 3148 Franklin Road in Murfreesboro.
All of the supplies will be taken to East Tennessee on Saturday.
