NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The holiday spirit was at Nissan Stadium Tuesday afternoon with a toy drive.
Cumulus Media was there to collect toys for the Salvation Army’s “Forgotten Angel” program that provides Christmas gifts for families in need.
“We have over 9,000 kids that get assistance from the Salvation Army at Christmas,” said Ed Le. “This is a part of that, trying to help fill the need for any of the children that didn’t get adopted through the regular Angel Tree program.”
It’s the ninth year they’ve held the drive.
Lee told News 2 they don’t collect anything in particular—toys for all ages and genders are welcome—but they also collect items for senior citizens.
“There are about 700 seniors that we are trying to help this Christmas as well,” he said. “A lot of people like to do that as well.”
