Funeral arrangements made for Krispy Kreme worker shot after robbery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Funeral arrangements have been made for the Krispy Kreme delivery driver who was shot after a robbery at a Donelson gas station early Sunday morning.

Visitation for Al Baker will be held on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lake Providence Missionary Baptist Church located at 5891 Nolensville Road.

His funeral will be held immediately after the visitation and will begin at 7 p.m.

Baker had just arrived to the Mapco station on Donelson Pike and was sitting in his truck when the gunman fired multiple shots at him around 2 a.m. Sunday.

News 2 previously spoke with Baker’s wife, Martha Faye Baker. The two had been married for 19 years.

““He wasn’t just only my husband, he was my best friend,” she said. “Al was a good man. If you asked Al for something he would give it to you.”

Al Baker worked at Krispy Kreme for 30 years.
