NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Young patients at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville were treated to a special performance of “The Nutcracker” on Tuesday.
Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the Dancing Bear and the Italian Ballerina all appeared at the hospital for a sixth year in a row to perform excerpts from the beloved holiday classic for the children and their families.
“It seems like the kids are really responding and that’s so special to get to share some joy and some love,” said Katie Chal with the Nashville Ballet. “I’m inspired by all the love that I feel here.”
The characters also did a meet-and-greet and posed for photos with patients and their families.
