Officials will continue to update the information that feeds into the map so that you can get the latest information.

Containment of the Chimney Tops 2 fire that spread to Gatlinburg is increasing each day. Rain in the Smoky Mountains over the weekend helped, and the fire has not spread.

The park is still closed on the Tennessee side, but the Spur between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is back open.

The investigation into what officially caused the fire is now underway and investigators do believe it was human caused.
