Delivery driver robbed, assaulted in south Nashville

ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WKRN) – A pizza delivery driver is recovering after he was robbed early Monday morning.

It happened at The Verse on Bell Apartment Homes located just off Bell Road in Antioch.

Metro police told News 2 the robbery took place outside an upstairs apartment just before 1 a.m.

According to police, the suspect and pizza delivery man got into a physical fight. During the altercation, both fell down a flight of stairs. The suspect then took the victim’s phone and ran.

The victim broke his arm, and was treated at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center.

The suspect, according to investigators, is a black man who is around 6 feet tall and has a slim build. He was last seen wearing a tan ski mask, a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans. He was also armed with a handgun.
