NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two anonymous donors bought a coat for every student at Buena Vista Elementary Enhanced Option School.
The coats were delivered to the children on Monday.
“Three weeks ago, we got contacted by someone who doesn’t even live in this city that had heard about our schools and our work and the kids,” explained Megan McGuire. “They said, ‘Listen, we want to pay for a coat for each child in the building,’ so we quickly, and of course, said yes and have been fast at working sizing kids and shopping all around town.”
Buena Vista Elementary has about 300 students.
In addition to the coat donations, another person recently bought the school a brand new washer and dryer. The school allows parents to schedule time to use the laundry facility at school.
The new wash and dryer will be delivered next week.
