NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police are investigating after a man was fatally shot at a Super 8 Motel in Antioch Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the scene on Bell Road around 6:30 a.m.
Casey Lucas, 30, of Nolensville, was shot in the abdomen inside a motel room and died at the scene.
His girlfriend flagged down officers to notify them of the shooting, while they were investigating a burglary alarm at a business across the street.
A Metro police captain said there were multiple people in the room at the time of the shooting, including Lucas’ girlfriend.
One man, 30-year-old Roger Reid, was pistol whipped and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
On Saturday evening, police named 33-year-old Antonio Jackson, of Antioch, as the suspected gunman. An arrest warrant has been issued charging him with criminal homicide.
Authorities say Jackson knew Lucas and robbery may have been a motive for the crime.
Anyone who sees Antonio Jackson or knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
