Students evacuated from Cane Ridge High School after fire call

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Students at Cane Ridge High School in Antioch had to be evacuated on Thursday morning before classes started because of a reported fire call.

Firefighters with the Nashville Fire Department got on top of the roof of the school where a witness reported seeing smoke.

Students were evacuated from the building before 6:45 a.m. Shortly after 7:10 a.m. the students were allowed back inside the building.

Students that were showing up for the school day stayed in their cars or buses until they were allowed inside.

Officials believe there was small fire in a heating and cooling unit.
