Shooting victim stops and asks police for help in west Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was shot in west Nashville Wednesday morning.

A Metro Nashville Police officer was conducting a routine traffic stop near the corner of White Bridge Road and Harding Pike around 6 a.m. when a black car pulled up and a man inside said he had been shot.

The man was taken to St. Thomas Midtown. Metro Police said he was shot in the upper leg.

The victim was said to have non-life threatening injuries. It is unclear where he was shot.
