NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police say they are working to identify two men who trashed a Kwik Sak after a dispute over cigarettes.

It happened early in the morning on Nov. 16 at the business on South Hamilton Road near the Cumberland River.

Authorities say after buying a pack of Newports at 1:55 a.m., the men began arguing with the clerk, claiming the cigarettes were fake.

Surveillance video shows the man knocking merchandise over and throwing things around before stealing several baseball caps, headphones, and T-shirts.

Once they left, Metro police say the clerk locked the door so they couldn’t return.

The two men then proceeded to dump the trashcans in the parking lot and throw objects at the front door.

They left in a late 2000s model tan Chevrolet Malibu.

The two as yet unidentified men are wanted for theft and damaging the store’s property. Anyone recognizing them from the attached surveillance photos is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
