Tenn. mom accused of giving false info about son involved in shooting

OAKLAND, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was indicted by a grand jury after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) says she gave false information during a shooting investigation.

Lecasha Hill faces charges of aggravated perjury and false reporting. She was booked into the Fayette County jail on Tuesday with a $25,000 bond.

According to the TBI, they began investigation the shooting on Feathers Chapel Road in Fayette County on June 21.

During the course of the investigation, Hill was interviewed by authorities. A press release states agents later developed information she gave false information about her son, a suspect in the shooting, during those interviews and again later at a juvenile court proceeding.

The Fayette County Grand Jury returned indictments against Hill on Monday and she was arrested Tuesday.
