Gov. Haslam, First Lady light tree at state capitol tonight

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Governor Bill Haslam and First Lady Chrissy Haslam will light the state capitol’s Christmas tree Monday evening.

The ceremony begins at 5 p.m. at the state capitol located at 600 Charlotte Avenue.

The 40-foot tall Norway spruce came from Hermitage and will be strung with thousands of lights and ornaments.

Festivities at the event will include horse-drawn carriage rides, live music and a visit from Santa Claus.
