NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Two men are in custody after a pursuit started in Montgomery County and ended in Davidson County Monday.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers, the suspects stole numerous items from people in Robertson, Montgomery and Davidson counties.
They told News 2 the suspects were in a stolen Jeep when they realized they were being pursued. That’s when they drove into a yard in Whites Creek, jumped out and ran.
When officers caught them, one man complained of neck and back pain, so he was taken to a local hospital to get checked out. He is ok and both men are in jail.
Detectives allegedly found a number of stolen guns inside the stolen Jeep. The owner of some of those guns told troopers someone stole them when he left his truck doors unlocked.
Detectives believe the other guns may have been stolen from multiple counties.
“This is a multi-county investigation that’s going on right now. We’ve located some stolen guns and electronics in the vehicle. We’re working with our local partners to locate the rightful owners,” said Sergeant Travis Plotzer with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The investigation is ongoing.
