NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – If you weren’t out shopping on Black Friday, and you weren’t buying a Christmas tree, maybe you were at the movies.

It’s a popular weekend to see a film, so News 2 stopped by Hollywood 27 in 100 Oaks.

“People are out of school, out of work, visiting family… it’s just a fun thing to do with the family,” said Sarah Bridge.

Disney’s “Moana” is dominating the box office with $88 million projected for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend alone.

That’s what Bridge went to see with her family, saying it was “really good.”

News 2 also found a lot of people going to see Brad Pitt in the movie “Allied,” such as Robert Donaldson.

He said he thinks this weekend is a good one for movies because people have more down time and like to spend that time with family, getting out and just hanging around.
