NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Titans received another reason to give thanks Thursday when left tackle Taylor Lewan returned to the practice field.
He left Sunday’s game in Indianapolis with a knee injury and sat out practice Wednesday; however, he was a limited participant Thursday.
Head coach Mike Mularkey says so far, the news has been encouraging.
“Yeah, he’s doing better and better. Hopefully, he gets more work tomorrow and then we will go into Saturday and see where he’s at. We’ll evaluate him more tomorrow,” Mularkey said.
If Lewan cannot play Sunday in Chicago, he will be replaced by veteran Dennis Kelly, who just happens to be a Chicago native and has 21 friends and family headed to Soldier Field for the game.
In other injury news, cornerback Brice McCain and running back DeMarco Murray were both full participants after missing practice Wednesday.
Tight end Phillip Supernaw is still in the concussion protocol.
