Man wanted for attacking, robbing woman outside First Tennessee Park

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police are looking for a man accused of attacking and robbing a woman outside First Tennessee Park last weekend.

The crime occurred on Saturday, Nov. 19 on Junior Gilliam Way.

According to officials, 19-year-old Brandon Dotson and an another man, who has not been identified, approached a woman from behind as she left a performance at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC).

As she reached the right field entrance to First Tennessee Park, Dotson and his accomplice reportedly struck her in the head with a metal stake, knocking her to the ground.

They then took her purse and cell phone and fled on foot in different directions, according to police.

The victim went back to her Third Avenue North apartment where she called for help. She was taken to a hospital with a serious gash on her head.

Dotson was later identified as one of the suspects and was charged with aggravated robbery resulting in serious injury.
