NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Another large Powerball jackpot has Tennesseans heading to the stores to get their chance at $359 million.
Wednesday’s drawing is for on the top 29 largest ever and many people say it could not come at a better time.
“I’m not going to give you my lucky numbers,” laughed one player.
It is the luck of the draw every time Hailey Curran plays, which he says is probably more often then he should, at Drew’s Market.
“I hate to say it but it’s in my blood. I used to go to Kentucky and play.”
He said he has hit a few numbers but never matched all of them so he believes he is due to win the Powerball jackpot.
“I won $1150 last week, I hit for $500 twice on the pick three,” Curran told News 2.
Curran said winning would make a lot of people around his Thanksgiving table even more thankful.
“I’ve got a great niece, she’s got nine kids and when I hit, I make sure I help her out.”
Tuesday night, a $1 million ticket was sold in La Vergne. That winner puts Tennesseans one match away from the 200th million or more winner.
“The Powerball and Tennessee Cash is up so I’ll buy those more.”
Mike Roden sees only dollar signs when the Powerball reaches the millions like $359 million.
“I’m ready for it to hit another $1.5 billion.”
