NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police will implement a traffic management plan this weekend in the area of Opry Mills, Opryland Hotel and Music Valley Drive.
According to the plan, officers will be on fixed posts along the route from the Briley Parkway and McGavock Pike intersection to the Opryland Hotel and Opry Mills Mall entrances beginning Friday and Saturday afternoons.
Officers will also staff Music Valley Drive leading to the Dancing Lights of Christmas Jellystone Park property.
The plan calls for Music Valley Drive to be one way, northbound, just past the Santa Fe restaurant on Friday.
Those visiting the Jellystone Park attraction will be directed to exit onto Music Valley Drive northbound to Pennington Bend Road, from where they will rejoin McGavock Pike.
Police said this plan will not alleviate congestion but is expected to reduce wait times.
