MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A wildfire burned between about 100 acres of land Wednesday in Murfreesboro.

It was reported at 11 a.m. at Manchester Pike and West Gum Road.

Various agencies in the area helped put out the flames, which were under control by 3:30 p.m. with some hot spots still being contained.

No one injuries were reported.

“There’s a house, probably three houses down, that it totally went around,” nearby resident Lisa Bowman said. “It took his barn out. It had a lot of stuff in there. I was told it took another barn out back behind those. There’s some houses that the vinyl has been wrinkled around it.”

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
