NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – It’s the Super Bowl of retail, and now it is starting earlier than ever before. Many retailers are now beginning Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving.
“We have so many items available with deep discounts. This year we’ve really invested in our expanded inventory both in our store isles and digital isles,” said Dianna Gee a Walmart spokesperson.
Walmart big sales begin online at 11:01 p.m. and they next layer of deals begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Thanksgiving evening, inside stores.
“You can come in at 2 a.m. in the morning. That is the great thing about 24-7 Walmart,” said Gee.
Many other stores are also starting early.
Target opens on Thanksgiving at 6 p.m. and remains open until 11 p.m. on Black Friday.
Macy’s opens on Thanksgiving 5 p.m. and will stay open until 2 a.m. before Black Friday hours begin.
Toys R Us begins its Black Friday on Thanksgiving at 5p.m. and will remain open until Sunday morning.
