RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – News 2 has obtained the 911 calls for a crash that involved a school bus Friday in Rutherford County.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the bus was stopped with its red flashers on and stop-arm down when a GMC pickup driven by 28-year-old Marcus Tittsworth slammed into the back.

Eleven children were on board, but they were not harmed.

In the 911 calls, it’s apparent that witnesses believe Tittsworth died instantly.

“I don’t think he’s breathing,” says one caller. “Yeah, I think he’s going to be DOA.”

Another caller tells the communications center that the children are okay.

“I’ve got all the kids coming into my house right now,” said the caller.

Tittsworth was from McMinnville and his obituary says he was a truck driver with Federal Express.

THP is investigating if the sun was in his eyes and if that’s the cause of the crash.
