NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Tuesday’s class of Cherished H.E.A.R.T.S. graduates is thankful for second chances this holiday season.

This afternoon, three women once caught in human trafficking graduating from the program.

Their ages range from 19 to 40, but their stories are all similar. One of them was traded into prostitution at the age of 13.

Since being in the program, two of the graduates have given birth to healthy babies.

Cherished H.E.A.R.T.S. was launched last February. It’s a first-of-its-kind specialty intervention court for victims of trafficking and prostitution in hopes of avoiding incarceration.

The program’s very first class returned Tuesday to speak to the latest graduates.
