NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Tennessee Titans lost to the Indianapolis Colts for the 11th straight time Sunday, but dodged an even bigger loss Monday.
Head coach Mike Mularkey said left tackle Taylor Lewan is day-to-day with a knee sprain and has not been ruled out for Sunday’s game at Chicago against the Bears.
The Titans have plenty of time to make a decision, but the initial news is promising for the Titans.
Lewan went down in the fourth quarter in Indianapolis and said he immediately knew he was hurt.
“I was blocking and I got hit in the leg and I heard something. So I just laid on the ground and waited for the trainers to come out, and they came out and I told them what I heard,” he said. “I mean, at that point the knee is a scary thing so you don’t know what it is.”
Dennis Kelly filled in for Lewan at left tackle the rest of the game, but there is the possibility of the Titans moving rookie Jack Conklin to left tackle if Lewan can not play Sunday.
