3 men arrested in Opryland parking lot robbery

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Three men were arrested after police say they robbed two women in a parking lot near the Gaylord Opryland Hotel Events Center.

According to Metro police, the women were walking to their car Sunday night around 10:30 p.m. when a gunman demanded their belongings.

One of the victims was hit in the back of her head before the suspect ran away with their purses.

Authorities say information developed that led then to the 1400 block of Ninth Avenue North where the suspect’s car was stopped.

The things stolen during the robbery were found under the front passenger’s seat, a press release states, and a handgun was found in the glove box.

Eddie Taylor, 26; Mark Williams, 22; an Braxton Cooper, 18, were all arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery each.

Police say Taylor is also charged with being a fugitive from justice for a probation violation stemming from a weapon offense in Oxford, Mississippi.

Taylor is being held in lieu of $450,000 bond. Williams and Cooper are being held on $200,000 bond.

Their mug shots are being withheld pending lineups.
