Power restored to Mt. Juliet residents after TVA equipment failure

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WKRN) – Thousands of residents in Mt. Juliet were without power Sunday afternoon after the Middle Tennessee Electric Membership Corporation (MTEMC) experienced failure with TVA equipment.

The outage was relatively short and mainly impacted the southern part of the city. At one point, more than 4,700 were without electricity.

Mt. Juliet police directed traffic around intersections near the Providence Marketplace.

According to MTEMC, the power was restored shortly after 4 p.m. No other details about the outage were released.
