Fugitive wanted in Virgin Islands arrested in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – A fugitive wanted in the Virgin Islands was arrested in Montgomery County.

Deputies took of 25-year-old Treson Stephens into custody Friday morning.

A warrant for his arrest was issued on Aug. 31 by the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands.

Stephens was wanted for first degree murder, first degree assault, third degree assault, first degree reckless endangerment, unauthorized use of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence, and brandishing, exhibiting or using deadly weapons.

He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail, where he’s being held on $500,000 bond.
