NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police have identified the 15-year-old they say forcibly took a 12-year-old girl’s identification and bus pass with the help of surveillance photos.

It happened at the MTA bus station on Charlotte Avenue on Sept. 27.

The girl was waiting with other students to change buses when she was approached by two males, one of which tried to grab her backpack, while the other grabbed the lanyard around her neck and took her ID and bus pass.

Police have not released the teen’s identity to the public, but did say he is facing assault and theft charges in juvenile court.
