Several rounds fired into 2 Murfreesboro churches; Police search for suspect

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office is trying to track down the person who fired several rounds into two Murfreesboro churches this week.

The incidents occurred between Sunday and Wednesday.

The first happened at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 5121 Leanna Road. Someone fired into the building, hitting two glass doors and a window, causing $2,000 in damages.

The second church that was hit was Kings Chapel Independent Missionary Baptist Church at 1151 East Jefferson Pike. That shooting led to $1,450 in damages to the doors and a public address system.

No motive was given for the shootings.
