Police investigating burglary at south Nashville convenience store

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Police are investigating a burglary at a south Nashville convenience store early Thursday morning.

It happened around 3 a.m. at the Xpress Deli Shoppe on Bell Road.

Metro police told News 2 the suspect broke into the store through a boarded up window that was being temporarily used to secure the store from a previous burglary.

The owner said the suspect went inside and broke through a board covering an opening in their security glass around the register.

Metro police said the suspect got away with cigarettes and cash.

Police do not have a description of the suspect but there is surveillance video of the crime.

No additional information was immediately released.
