NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Someone stole a smoker from a barbecue food truck Sunday night in East Nashville.

The owner of The Gambling Stick on Gallatin Avenue told News 2 his roommate called and said the smoker was being stolen before trying to follow the suspects.

Matt Russo said his friend following as long as he could until he stopped to call police.

“I found out about it around 9 o’clock on Sunday, filed a police report, and we don’t have any leads yet as to where it is,” he told News 2.

He says the suspects, both wearing construction vests, were driving a silver Honda Odyssey.

“I couldn’t believe it at first. I try to have good faith in people, but lately, it’s been tough,” Russo said.

He explained the smoker is very distinct with lots of defining characteristics or marks.

“We built it ourselves,” Russo added.

While The Gambling Stick operates with a back-up smoker, they hope someone can help bring their main one home.
