Crews investigating fire outside Union Station hotel

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Fire officials are investigating after a small fire was extinguished outside the Union Station hotel in downtown Nashville.

The fire began at the hotel on Broadway around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

When crews arrived, the found the fire burning near the exterior of the building. It was quickly extinguished.

Fire crews used large fans to help ventilate the building from accumulated smoke on the first three floors of the hotel.

Guests were evacuated to the hotel lobby but have since allowed back into their rooms.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
